A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:
- Ubuntu 10.10
- Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
This update ensures the DHCP client AppArmor profile is always loaded before DHCP client starts.
- ifupdown - high level tools to configure network interfaces
Under certain circumstances, the DHCP client could start before its AppArmor profile was loaded and therefore run unconfined. This update ensures the AppArmor profile is loaded before DHCP client starts.
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions:

After a standard system update you need to restart your DHCP network interfaces to make all the necessary changes.
