Details
Pinkie Pie discovered a flaw in the Linux kernel’s futex subsystem. An unprivileged local user could exploit this flaw to cause a denial of service (system crash) or gain administrative privileges.
Update instructions
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions:
- Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
- linux-image-3.5.0-51-generic - 3.5.0-51.77~precise1
